The electronic lab notebook (or ELN) is a digital version, a software platform, of the traditional lab notebook to record and store experimental results. Other obvious benefits of ELNs include data sharing, access, and analysis. From electrons to phase diagrams

Current materials design workflows in industry and academia employ CALPHAD-computed phase diagrams that to a large extent rely on experimental data. Today the computation of large numbers of DFT data is becoming a routine task. Interatomic potentials with near-DFT accuracy are available. It is possible to estimate phase diagrams directly from DFT data. This workshop will cover the complete chain from high-throughput electronic structure calculations to the computation of phase diagrams.

In order to try to overcome this situation, the OPTIMADE consortium has been created to form a single API.

2022 MaRDA Annual Meeting
